Housing in Oak Hall

Oak Hall

“The most rewarding aspect of the honors college was being part of a community. I could always rely on someone in the Maynor Honors College throughout my time at UNC Pembroke.” Mary Grace Curiale

Honors Housing in Oak Hall

New honors students take classes together their first semester and are housed together as a Living Learning Community (LLC) in the 1st and 2nd floors of Oak Hall. The honors college LLC is among the most robust living learning communities on campus and is home to all first-year honors college students. Oak Hall is centrally located on campus and contains a vibrant community of friends and scholars.

To be placed in the Honors Living Learning Community, simply select “Oak Hall” on your housing application. The housing office will have a list of honors students and will place you in Oak Hall unless another hall is selected as the first choice. After the first year, honors students in good standing may continue living in the honors LLC in Oak Hall or may move to an on- or off-campus residence.

And if you have a reason you would like to live in another residence hall during your first year, simply select the other location on your housing application. You will still be a member of the honors community regardless of where you live!

Please note that many first- and second-year students are required to live on campus as part of our freshman and sophomore residency requirements. For more information about these requirements or to apply for an exemption, visit the Housing & Residence life website. And, of course, if you have any additional questions, please contact Housing & Residence Life via email at housing@uncp.edu or telephone at 910.775.4253.
