The Graduate Research and Writing Academy's aim is to help UNCP graduate students develop the professional writing and research skills needed for coursework as well as future research and publications. The Academy received rave reviews in the past and has become a regularly held event. Limited space is available. Topics will include: effective topic development; effective search techniques; reading and responding to academic texts; summarizing, paraphrasing, and quoting; setting goals and forming writing groups. Discipline-specific research tools will be discussed and demonstrated.
