About the Program
RIBN is coordinated statewide by the Foundation for Nursing Excellence with financial support from The Duke Endowment, the Jonas Center for Nursing Excellence, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the NC Area Health Education Centers Program.
The SouthCentralNC RIBN Program admitted its first cohort of students in the Fall of 2014. These students will receive their ADN in 2017 and be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam. In 2018, the students will receive their BSN and be eligible to further their academic career or begin working as full-time nurses.
