The Geography Track in the Bachelor of Science in Geo-Environemental Studies offers students a course of study that focuses on the interactions between humans and their environment(s). From natural phenomena to cultural lanscapes, Geography provides a context within which students can gain an understanding of the world around us. The core of the Geography Track centers around the three broad areas of the discipline: human geography (GGY2000, Cultural Geography), physical geography (GGY2460, Weather and Climate), and geospatial technologies (GGY 2500, Introduction to Cartography). Beyond the core, students can study a range of areas including the geography of regions, the interplay of society and environment, and the other concepts in Geography or related disciplines.
