The A.D. Gallery is pleased to presenTerra Incognita: Unknown Landscapes, an invitational painting exhibition featuring works by eight artists representing landscape painting as a distinctive and richly diverse genre within contemporary art. Artists in this exhibition work in a variety of media—oil on canvas, oil on stainless steel, dye and spray paint on canvas, mixed media and collage on synthetic paper, and acrylic and collage on sheetrock and metal.

Terra Incognita, Latin for "unknown land", is a term used in cartography for regions that have not been mapped or documented. Artists in this exhibition present abstracted environments that offer enigmatic, broad, and dynamic depictions of landscape revealed as motif.  This exhibition presents a range of style and content, and includes large-scale paintings and collaborative wall installations.

Participating Artists: Melissa Brown, Daniel Dove, Steve di Benedetto,
Yasemin Kackar-Demirel, Greg Lindquist, Kanishka Raja, Kim Schoenstadt and Jovan Karlo Villalba
