Crowned the 80th Miss North Carolina, Victoria Huggins has enjoyed traveling as a professional motivational speaker and vocalist upon request nationwide since the age of seven. She has been honored to represent her community on a variety of television shows including It’s Showtime at the Apollo (1998), Star Search (2000), American Idol (Top 100, 2011), and the American Bible Challenge (2014).
Dr. Jane Fernandes
Recognized as one of the 20 most interesting college presidents by The Best Schools, Jane Fernandes is in her third year leading Guilford College as its ninth president. She is the first deaf woman in history to head an American college and the first woman to lead Guilford College.
Chef Judy started her business, "Let Me Cater to You" nine years ago. She has cooked for Hotels, Restaurants, Golf Clubs, Retirement homes, as well as Campus Services at a University, just to name a few. Judy has traveled state to state, as well as the U.K., cooking and serving. Her experience and accomplishments include but not limited to fine or casual dining. Chef Judy has quality standards for her product, service, and consistency. Delivering this promise requires skill, creativity, business acumen and personal touch. Chef Judy Loves eating just as much as cooking. She can be found cooking specialty meals for locals as well as her celebrity clients.
Nancy is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Technology Resources and Chief Information Officer at the University of North Carolina Pembroke. In her current role at UNCP Nancy dreams, plans, and executes comprehensive technology initiatives designed to complement the ideals of the university. Also a Senior Consultant with the Hayes Group International, Nancy is an engaging coach, expert in igniting energy and developing vision in the midst of rapid change. Nancy is passionate about fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace that models collaborative leadership across generations. Nancy’s expertise in developing human potential, organizational change and program development stems from over 30 years of experience in building partnerships between educational, corporate and community institutions.
Charly Lowry is a singer-songwriter from North Carolina with Native American roots from the dark swamps of Robeson County. For over a decade, Charly has attained regional and national success as both a solo artist and lead singer of spiritual rock and soul band, Dark Water Rising. In addition to performing with Dark Water Rising and The Ulali Project (a reincarnation of the world-famous First Nations female acapello group, Ulali) she often shares the stage with the British funk/soul band, “The New Mastersounds”. In 2004, Charly had the opportunity to compete on the wildly popular television show, American Idol. She ventured through several rounds of auditions to land a Semi-Finalist spot (Top 32).
From recording her first song at two years old, to getting third place on Season 13 of The Voice, Brooke Simpson is no stranger to music. She is a powerhouse vocalist who is passionate about songwriting and people.
Dr. Desirée Walker
Dr. Walker is a general dentist and owner of her start-up practice, Lumber River Dental, in Lumberton, NC. She is a passionate lover of movement and athletics. She is a 2-time competitor on NBC's American Ninja Warrior, a 2-time national fitness champion, and an adult gymnastics competitor. She is a Boston Marathon finisher, and has been ranked nationally as an amateur triathlete as well as a Crossfit champion. She has creatively integrated her love of fitness into dentistry by transforming her private office into a “Ninja training” suite - equipped with rings from the ceiling, bars on the wall, and balancing slack lines. Outside of her dental practice and “Ninja” training, she is passionate about helping others integrate movement and fun into their dental workday.
