The Center for Student Success, Social Belonging for Student Success, and the Southeast American Indian Studies program, in conjunction with a number of UNCP departments and programs is hosting Native Strong, an academic success program tailored specifically to American Indian Students, from Thursday, August 8, 2019 to Saturday, August 10, 2019.
This exciting summer educational experience includes a trip to the U.S. Whitewater Center and Cedar Grove Retreat in Charlotte, NC. Native Strong participants will build a community of support while learning skills and strategies to maximize their success here at UNC Pembroke while gaining valuable insight into campus life from the perspective of our American Indian students, faculty and staff.
Attendance is encouraged and there is no charge for the program. Students are encouraged to bring up to two (2) parents/guardians to attend the Welcome Lunch and Family Talking Circle on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 12:00pm.
If you live on campus, you are allowed to move in early. More housing information will be forthcoming.
Please register HERE by Wednesday, July 31, 2019.
