11-07-2022 UNCP Veterans Honor Wreath Laying & Appreciation Lunch
UNCP Academic & Military outreach cordially invites you to attend the inaugural Honor Wreath Laying Ceremony & Appreciation Lunch to begin our campus Veterans Appreciation Week celebrations. UNCP’s ROTC cadets will lead the posting of the colors, and UNCP music students will perform the National Anthem and Taps. A complimentary lunch for guests and participants will be available in the Dining Hall immediately following the ceremony.

11-08-2022 Vote in Honor of a Veteran
The Vote in Honor of a Veteran Program provides North Carolinians an opportunity to pay tribute to those who have served this country in the Armed Forces. Any voter can honor a veteran on any Election Day by requesting a pin. Pins are provided for free by the State Board of Elections. Each pin can be personalized with the name of the veteran a voter wishes to.

11-09-2022 Toys for Tots Campaign Kick-Off Event
Visit the Rally Point Veterans Resource Center from 2pm to 4pm for our cookies, coffee, and collection event celebrating the start of the campus campaign in support of the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. Bring new, unwrapped toys, games, or books appropriate for children up to age 12. The campus campaign will run from November 09 to December 07.

11-10-2022 Green Zone Training
Academic and Military Outreach (AMO) is conducting a virtual Green Zone Training for Veterans Appreciation Week. Participants only need to attend one training session to be Green Zone certified. This training will help you to better understand ways to support military affiliated students inside and outside of the classroom.

11-11-2022 Warrior Tradition: Film Showing and Panel Discussion
The Warrior Tradition documentary shares the untold stories of Native Americans who served in the U.S. military. Special guests, Ashley Lomboy of the Waccamaw Siouan tribe and Danny Bell of the Lumbee Tribe of NC and Coharie tribe will join us for a discussion of the film and their experiences as natives in the military. This even is co-hosted by the American Indian Heritage Center and Academic & Military Outreach.
