    Yesterday evening Piedmont Natural Gas disconnected natural gas service to main campus in order prevent potential hazards. As of this morning, gas service has not been restored. Utility crews are working continuously to repair the segment and restore service as soon as possible.

    It is important to know faculty, staff, students and visitors on campus are not in immediate danger because of any potential gas leaks. The disruption in service may affect some campus activity throughout the day, including dining services. Dining facilities are working to bring in the necessary resources to provide limited hot meal options. We appreciate your patience and will update you as additional information becomes available.

Instructions to Change Address or Name

If you are a Permanent Employee of UNCP, the following are guidelines for Name and Address Change:

  1. If you are changing your contact information, (Address and Phone Number, ONLY, please login to BraveWeb at the following URL:  https://braveweb.uncp.edu
  • Upon login, click on Banner Self Service;
  • Select Personal Information from the menu;
  • At the next screen, click on Update Address and Phone;
  • Please enter your current Address and Telephone information along with the effective date and click on the submit button to complete.
  1. If you have changed your name due to marriage, divorce, or other reason, please complete the Address/Name Change Form (Word) and present your new Social Security Card and a state or federal identification (for example, drivers license) to the Office of Human Resources. 
  2. If you are enrolled in the State Health Plan, you will need to complete the online name change process at the following URL: https://ebenefitsnow.com/go/BCBSNC4
  3. If you are enrolled in NCFlex, you will need to update your information online at the following URL: https://www.ncflexonline.org/uas/uas.do
  4. If you are enrolled in an ORP then you need to contact your representative.
  5. If you are enrolled in TSERS then you should see an HR representative or visit our website and download the forms from there.
  6. If you have 401k / 403b / 457 plans then you need to contact your representative.

If you are a Graduate Assistant and your Address or Phone Information has changed, please follow the directions set out in #1 above.
