James Lockemy

History 1971
Chief Judge, South Carolina Court of Appeals. U.S. Army veteran. Retired as full colonel of S.C. Army National Guard. Former member of S.C. House of Representatives. Elected as Circuit Court Judge in 1989. Elected as chief judge in 2016. Served as 2017 UNCP commencement speaker.

Assistant coach, Richmond Kickers: All-American soccer star at UNCP. Holds single-season assist record with 19 and career assist record with 28. Drafted by the Richmond Kickers in 2005. USL-2 All-League First Team selection, Defender of the Year Finalist.

UNCP Trustee. President/Founder, Speech Solutions, Inc. Allison began a private speech language pathology company in her home with six employees in 2003. Today, Speech Solutions has 72 employees serving 11 counties. 2014 recipient of Outstanding Alumnus Award.

Assistant wrestling coach, Greensboro College. First two-time national champion in UNCP history. Four-time All-American. UNCP male Athlete of the Year 2015. Midwest Regional’s Wrestler of the Year 2015. Former assistant wrestling coach at Ferrum College, NC Pride Wrestling Club  and UNCP.
