The University of North Carolina at Pembroke was recently selected as one of the top military-friendly universities in the U.S.

The Military and Veteran Services team is leading the way. The team is made up of representative staff and administration who serve veteran needs and interest. The team assist veterans in making the transition from military service to a successful academic experience.

The University has been a provider of higher education to military personnel on Ft. Bragg since 2005.

Chancellor Kyle Carter said the designation speaks to the commitment of the University to meeting the needs of the region.

UNCP is  proud to be designated a “Military Friendly Institution” Chancellor Carter said. "Throughout UNCP’s history the institution has helped veterans complete their education and return to the world of work as well as providing active duty military personnel flexible academic programs that enhance their military career." 

"Our proximity to Fort Brag reminds us of our opportunity to serve those who have served us.  We are proud to help military personnel and their dependents complete their education and fulfill their dreams” Chancellor Carter said.

UNCP launched an aggressive campaign in 2003 to offer more degree programs. Based on the University’s demonstrated high value and proven academic rigor, the University was approved to offer various degree programs at Fort Bragg.
