The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is home to the Givens Performing Arts Center, a 1,600-seat regional entertainment facility that plays host to Broadway road shows and other national acts.

Every year, the Givens showcases three major series, including Broadway and More, the Distinguished Speaker Series and the Nostalgia Concert Series. These offerings provide UNCP and southeastern North Carolina with access to artists, authors and performers like Spike Lee, Miami Herald columnist Dave Berry and Dionne Warwick and shows like Cats, Seussical, the Musical and Fosse.

As a UNCP student you can enrich your education by attending Givens Center events (hint: this may be the best deal on the planet). Students can attend many events for free or at a highly reduced rate; tickets are often $10 or less. Convenient and reasonably priced, this is a great way to experience the performing arts and have a great night out at the same time.
