Annual Holiday Gala is December 3 Holiday Gala is 8 p.m. to midnight, Friday, December 3 at the Southeastern Agricultural Center, located on U.S. 74 about one mile east of the I-95 interchange. Evening attire is recommended. Lou Rawls at GPAC December 4 His 40-plus years as a recording artist, resulted in over 60 albums, three Grammies, 13 Grammy nominations across four categories - pop, jazz, R&B and children’s – and netted one platinum album, five gold albums and a gold single. Rawls has given his audience hits including "Love's A Hurtin' Thing," "Your Good Thing (Is About To End)" and "Natural Man." Tickets are $15 faculty and staff. Staff Holiday Social is Dec. 9 The staff is invited to a “Holiday Social” with food, fun and entertainment Thursday, Dec. 9, 11a.m. – 2:00 P.M .in the U.C. Lounge The menu is roast turkey with dressing, baked ham, tossed salad, vegetarian entrée, cranberry sauce, candied yams, green bean casserole, pumpkin and pecan pie, iced tea and water. The cost is $5.50 and must be paid by Dec. 3. There will be food, fun and entertainment. Staff may pay: Shirley Rodgers in Lumbee Hall (extension 6175), Teresa Bryant in University Center (extension 6207), Julie Apodaca (extension 6695) in D.F. Lowry and Bridget Jones (extension 6601) in Physical Plant. Sponsored by the Employee Recognition Committee. Homecoming is Jan. 31 – Feb. 5 Homecoming 2005 is planned for January 31 - February 5. |
