New Staff Council elected

A new 12-member Staff Council will take office on July 1, 2005, following May 9 elections.

Elected to two-year terms were: Freddie Bell (Physical Plant), Scott Bigelow (University & Community Relations), Lucy Hammonds (Housing), Brenda Kay Jacobs (Family Life), Kay Oxendine (Student Activities) and Aubrey Swett (Trio).

Elected to one-year terms were: Julie Apodaca (Disability Support Services), Robert Arndt (Library), Lisa Chavis (Biology), Bryan Hunt (Physical Plant), Roger Killian (Business Affairs) and James Sturdivant (Physical Plant).

Joyce Chavis (Housing) is the first alternate. Chancellor Meadors may also appoint two members.
