Wednesday, Oct. 22

  • The Moore Hall Recital Series presents the McCallum/McKenzie Piano Duo at 10 a.m.
  • The University Theatre presents “Rumors” by Neil Simon, Wednesday – Friday, October 22-24 at 8 p.m. each evening in the Givens Performing Arts Center. Tickets are free to students, faculty and staff by presenting their University ID at the box office. General admission tickets are $5 and $3 for students (non-UNCP).

Wednesday, October 29

Dancing WheelsDancing Wheels performs at 7 p.m. at GPAC. It is one of the most moving and inspirational performances you will ever experience. Dancing Wheels features one of the nation’s premier modern dance companies and their integration of professional dancers with and without disabilities. The company has captivated audiences worldwide with their exquisite artistry and have helped to expand the scope of artistic possibilities in a way that is truly unique and entertaining.

 

 

 

Saturday, November 1

Carolina PopsAt 8 p.m., GPAC presents the Carolina Pops, celebrating 70 years of North Carolina music. The music and majesty of North Carolina is celebrated in this new production that features the works of some of the world’s most celebrated artists who are North Carolina natives. Featuring performances by the Greensboro Symphony, David Holt, the lead singers from the Squirrel Nut Zippers and the N.C. Youth Tap Ensemble, this show pays tribute to such NC greats as James Taylor, Roberta Flack, and others.

Monday, November 3

Billy MillsDistinguished Speaker Billy Mills appears at 7 p.m. at GPAC. A Native American, former U.S. Marine and an Olympic gold medallist at the 1964 Tokyo games, Mills served on the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and was inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame in 1984.
