Wednesday, March 31

The Music Theatre and Theatre programs will present Meredith Wilson’s, “The Music Man,” at 8 p.m. on March 31 - April 2 on the GPAC stage. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. For tickets, call the Givens Performing Arts Center at 1-800-367-6361 or (910) 521-6361.

Tuesday, April 6

There will be a Jazz Concert at 7:30 p.m. in Moore Hall.

Wednesday, April 7

  • Taste of Culture will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 7, in the University Center Lounge. Sample international and Southern cuisine and entertainment.
  • There will be a Departmental Recital at 10 a.m. in Moore Hall.
  • A lecture, sponsored by the Gibson and Mariana Gray Lecture Series, will be held at 10 a.m. in Room 129 of the Multicultural Center (Old Main). The speaker is Dr. Christopher Alexander, Director of the Dean Rusk International Studies Center at Davidson College. Dr. Alexander is a Middle East expert, and his topic is the war in Iraq.
  • Fosse“Fosse”
    • 8:00 p.m.
    • Tickets; $30, $28 / $10 child/student
    • The winner of the 1999 Tony Award for Best Musical, “Fosse” is a sizzling celebration of the works of dancer, choreographer and director Bob Fosse. From such hits as “Sweet Charity,” “Pippin,” “Cabaret,” “Pajama Game,” “Damn Yankees,” “Dancin’” and others, this musical revue features a company of dancers and singers performing some of the most innovative and provocative choreography to ever hit the stage.

Tuesday, April 13

There will be a Band and Choir Concert at 7:30 p.m. in GPAC.

Wednesday, April 14

  • A lecture, sponsored by the Robert F. Gustafson Memorial Scholar Series, will be held at 10 a.m. in the Thomas Assembly Room of the Native American Resource Center (Old Main). The speaker is Dr. Cynthia Combs, professor of political science at UNC Charlotte. She is author of the highly regarded “Terrorism in the 21st Century” (4th printing) and co-author of the “Encyclopedia of Terrorism.”
  • The Moore Hall Recital Series presents “Easy Parking” at 10 a.m. in Moore Hall.

Thursday, April 15

The Senior Recital for Carlos Tyson, flute, is 7:30 p.m. in Moore Hall.

Other. Student Accounts and Cashier Offices extended office hours to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
