Tuesday, Feb. 17

At 7:30 p.m. in Moore Hall, there will be a Faculty Recital by Dr. Gail Morfesis, soprano, assisted by music faculty members Sharyn Edwards, Janita Byars and Beth Maisonpierre.

Wednesday, February 18

  • There will be a Music Departmental Recital at 10 a.m. in Moore Hall.
  • The next Faculty Fare 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. is in Faculty Dining Room. Cost for the buffet is $4.50 plus tax. The menu is tossed salad with assorted dressings, carved baked ham, chicken Marsala, a vegetarian selection, the chef’s choice of seasonal accompaniments and assorted desserts and beverages.
  • There will be a Band Concert at 7:30 p.m. in GPAC featuring winners of the Concerto Competition.

Thursday, February 19

The Homecoming Parade is 3:30 p.m. through downtown Pembroke and ending at Jones Athletic Center for a Pep Rally at 4:30 p.m.

Friday, February 20

  • The Alumni Registration Social is 6 p.m. in the lobby of Lumbee Hall
  • 8 p.m. at GPAC. Tickets: $26, $24 and $10 for a child or student. Celebrate Homecoming weekend with the legendary Four Tops. From soaring ballads and sweet harmonies to grooving standards, the Four Tops having long been celebrated for their Motown sound. With hits such as “Baby I Need Your Loving,” “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch),” and “Ain’t No Woman (Like the One I’ve Got),” the Four Tops have charmed audiences for over 45 years and were inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.

Saturday, February 21

  • The Alumni Awards Banquet is 6 p.m. in the University Center. $25 per person. Call the Alumni Office for reservations at 521-6533.
  • Comedian Bruce Bruce is in GPAC at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for the public, $10 for alumni and $5 for students.
  • The Alumni Dance is 10 p.m. at the University Center with U’Neek Flavur, a popular dance band. $15 per person.

Wednesday, February 25

The Moore Hall Recital Series presents Karen Kroon Parelius, harp, at 10 a.m. in Moore Hall.
