System requirements

Windows operating systems

• Window 2000, XP or Vista
• All critical Windows updates installed
• Clean Access agent installed and running
• Acceptable antivirus software installed and definitions up-to-date

All other antivirus programs listed should work with Clean Access, but DoIT will only provide technical support for McAfee Antivirus software provided by UNC Pembrok. Click here to download the UNCP licensed version of McAfee. You must be on campus.

  NOTE: Students are not allowed to connect any other devices to the network in the dorm (such as wireless routers, hubs, switches, PDAs, etc). Macintosh OSX

• None - Web browser authentication only

Windows 98/ME and Macintosh OS 9 (Prohibited)

These operating systems are prohibited on ResNet. Microsoft and Apple have ended official support for these older operating systems, and critical security updates are no longer developed. These systems are considered unsecure and will not be permitted on ResNet.
