Step-by-step: registering for a resnet account

To register your computer with ResNet, you must be in your own dorm or apartment. If your computer has already been registered in another dorm or apartment during the current semester, call the Help Desk at 521-6260 for further assistance.

Using a Category 5 LAN network cable, connect the computer to the wall outlet (data port, NOT telephone port). The correct cable will not fit in the telephone port.

NOTE: If you get a message that "Your Copy of Windows is not Authenticated" during the process, YOU MUST RESOLVE THIS ISSUE WITH MICROSOFT. It is your responsibility to maintain your computer system.

New students:

You need your network account to register for a ResNet account. If you registered for classes using BraveWeb, you have already activated your account. To activate your network account, please go to https://braveweb.uncp.edu/account/start/index.htm.

Click here for step-by-step instructions for ResNet registration.
