UCIS introduces online Tech TV: overview of Blackboard 7.3

You have probably watched a YouTube video. Whenever you want, you can view online videos uploaded by someone from somewhere else. The online video technology is becoming embedded in our daily lives.

Utilizing the latest video technology and aiming at facilitating the UNCP teaching and learning environment, UCIS launched a new online training program, UNCP Tech TV. This first UNCP Tech TV outlines new features in Blackboard 7.3 -- which we recently upgraded to -- demonstrated by Melanie Jacobs, technology support analyst and trainer.

As part of the support programs, UCIS has been offering one-on-one and group software application training sessions to the UNCP community. Those sessions are still available. The Tech TV will allow a more flexible schedule for busy faculty and staff.

“We am very excited about our additional resource. I hope that more and more people take advantage of our training programs,” said Jacobs. She added that UCIS is currently producing more training videos.
