Hawk's Nest
After classes, relax in the Hawk's Nest, the University Center's recreation center. Take advantage of our eight bowling lanes, six billiards tables, two ping pong tables, air hockey, or just hang out to watch TV. We offer the latest video games in our arcade. Chess, board and card games are available free of charge from the Check-Out Center with valid ID for use in the recreation center.
The Hawk's Nest is located on the first floor of the University Center. While UNCP students, faculty, and staff receive priority usage, there are designated times set aside for community use. Reservations can be made by calling the recreation center manager at 910.521.6544. Reservations must be made in advance to receive discounted prices. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Billiards, ping pong, and bowling equipment may be rented from the Check-Out Center. Individuals are allowed to supply their own equipment if they choose to, but will be charged for table usage.

BOWLING LANES
The bowling lanes are located inside the Hawk's Nest. Intramural bowling and bowling classes have priority in using the bowling lanes. Reservations for use by University or community organizations can be made in advance through the Hawk's Nest. The bowling lanes feature automatic scorers, bumpers, and glow bowling!
Recreational Bowling
Lanes are available for residence hall events, office events, youth camps, public schools and community support groups. For reservations and discount prices, call 910.521.6544.

PROMOTIONS
The Hawk's Nest sponsors several promotions each year for faculty, staff, and students including ping pong, bowling, and billiards tournaments, recreational bowling including intramurals and mini leagues. The Pembroke Community Bowling League, a sanctioned league, is also associated with the Hawk's Nest. Free play is offered several times a year through the Association of Campus Entertainment and as part of special events such as homecoming. Other promotions this year included, Dr. Cue, the billiards champion.
