Art Gallery

University Center Art Exhibit General Information

The James B. Chavis University Center features visible exhibition spaces located specifically on the University Center Mezzanine and in the
University Center Lobby. Both exhibit spaces are high-volume traffic areas accessed by students, faculty, staff, and the general public on a daily basis.
The Mezzanine Gallery features a permanent exhibit of prominent UNCP landscapes/landmarks including images of the water feature with the Sampsom Library in the background,the University Center Annex, Lumbee Hall and the Givens Performing Arts Center. The gallery also features a sculpture, Tree of Life, by Mr. Billy Prevatte of Fairmont, North Carolina, an abstract artist.
