TRIADS Lab: Team Although the TRIADS Lab is run by Dr. Raacke and Dr. Bonds-Raacke, each member of the lab is expected to play a vital role in the teams' success. Therefore, those undergraduates and graduate students who work in the lab are hand selected to fill a needed position. Each student is brought into the lab initially for their interest, creativity, intelligence and knowlege within the field of psychology. However, students remain in the lab based on their performance and productivity on lab's projects and equally as important based on their own projects. All new team members (usually sophomores) start off within the lab learning from not only Dr. Raacke and Dr, Bonds-Raacke but from upper level students as well. Once they have progressed and demonstrated their abilities, new members are slowly given responsibilities within the lab. These responsibilities range from helping in data collection and data entry in the beginning to progressing with developing collective lab projects (i.e., engaging in literature searches and aiding in research design) and finally culminating with the student conducting their own research with limited supervision. |
