TRIADS Lab:

General Information

Dr. Jenn Bonds-Raacke and Dr. John Raacke have formed the Theoretical Research for Investigating and Assessing Decision Strategies (TRIADS) Lab.  Research conducted in the TRIADS lab examines how individuals and teams make decisions on everyday tasks and what decision-making strategies they utilize to do so.

Dr. Bonds-Raacke’s primary focus is to examine the decision-making processes of couples who are married or in extended dating relationships.  Dr. Raacke’s primary focus is to (1) examine how teams make decisions in dynamic environments and (2) assess how jurors use statistical information when making judgments. Additionally, Dr. Bonds-Raacke and Dr. Raacke also collaborate to examine the decision-making processes of college students as well as assess the effectiveness of new teaching innovations.

Many projects are currently being conducted in the lab with the help of undergraduate and graduate research assistants.  Some students are conducting their own research, whereas other students are assisting in the on-going research of Dr. Bonds-Raacke and Dr. Raacke.  Current students include: Megan Harris, Sabrina Leshore, Kelly Niccum, Kyra Osinski, & Jorge Piocuda..  The TRIADS Lab will routinely present research findings at local, regional and national conferences, particularly where student work is recognized.

If you would like more information on current projects or are interested in becoming an assistant in the lab, contact Dr. Bonds-Raacke (jennifer.raacke@uncp.edu) or Dr. Raacke (john.raacke@uncp.edu).
