Dr. Charles Jenkins, Chancellor UNC Pembroke and Teaching Fellows


The North Carolina Teaching Fellows Program is a wonderful educational opportunity for students who want to become teachers.  Designed to bring the best and brightest teachers to North Carolina, this selective, competitive
program rewards 500 first year students every year with 4-year scholarships, specialized education-based programs and a range of extracurricular opportunities.  The program is open to all NC resident high school seniors. As a North Carolina Teaching Fellow at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke you will be provided

  • $6500 per year for 4 years
  • Academic, Cultural and Social Enrichment
  • Living and Learning Community - Oak Residence Hall
  • Freshmen take ENG 105 and FRS 100 together
  • MacBook
  • Summer Enrichment
  • Travel Opportunities
  • Free Admission to any event at Givens Performing Arts Center

Teaching Fellows Application Night will be held on Tuesday, September 29 in the School of Education room 222 from 6:00-8:00.

2009-2010 Teaching Fellows Applicants should bring their application materials to work on. Mr. Danny Bland, Teacher Recruiter, for the NCTF will be here to assist students.
