Alpha Chi President, Virginia Sykes, welcomes you to the AX web page. AX’s web-page is the first student organization web-site on-line for the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. This page will provide our visitors and members with a historical perspective of AX, announce new inductees, publish UNC-P AX’s member scholarly papers submitted for AX’s scholarship competition, AX’s UNC-P activities, post upcoming meetings and publish minutes from previous meetings. Our e-mail services will be utilized to update our members and respond to student request for intellectual assistance.

Greater than 68 percent of AX members are commuter students. In the past this has created problems for organizational development, campus participation, and a means to communicate. AX of UNC-P has chosen to take a proactive stance to eliminating these problems. The Officers of AX welcome you to our web-site. Contacting AX through our web-site is now at your fingertips.

In the future, this site will feature accomplished professors who have demonstrated qualities of Alpha Chi [Truth and Character] which include exemplary role model status, incorporate mentor relationships, and have collegial respect. Student features will encompass those who excel in their academic curriculum, demonstrate community responsiveness, and represent leadership qualities.
