International Programs

Applying to ELI

The minimum English language requirement for full admission into UNCP is a 520 on the paper-based TOEFL or a 68 on the Internet-based TOEFL.  See the TOEFL/IELTS Equivalency Chart.  Students who do not meet the minimum English language requirement can obtain conditional admission provided that they meet all other admission criteria.  Students do not need to submit a TOEFL or standardized test score to receive conditional admission.  Once the Department of Admissions grants you conditional admission, the Department of International Programs and ELI will begin the immigration process with you. Conditionally admitted students will be fully admitted upon successful completion of the ELI program.
