    Piedmont Natural Gas has restored service to campus this evening. As a result of the work performed today there will be detours on Faculty Row for both vehicles and pedestrians. Please use extreme caution and do not attempt to go around the barricades.

    Facilities and Piedmont Natural Gas personnel will continue working with the natural gas infrastructure on campus throughout the week. Service disruption is not anticipated, but could be possible. This work is being performed to make every effort to maintain a safe and healthy campus environment. 

    Dining services will resume standard operations for Sunday, January 22. We appreciate your patience today and apologize for any inconvenience.

What you should do before requesting ResNet technical support

  1. When connecting to ResidentialWiFi or BraveWiFi, if you are having difficulty displaying a web page or you are getting a security certificate error, try browsing to safeconnect.uncp.edu and login to SafeConnect.
  2. Visit the ResNet Troubleshooting page.
  3. If the problem still persists, write down the nature of the problem.
  4. Contact ResNet support at 910.522.5710 or resnet@uncp.edu. Provide details of the nature of the problem.
  5. If the issue is still unresolved, make an appointment to bring your computer in for assistance. Bring your computer and power cord.  (If using a wired connection, you'll also need your Ethernet cable).

Note: ResNet assistance is limited to network and Internet connectivity issues including the SafeConnect Policy Key.  Routers are not allowed on the UNCP network.  Also, Chromecasts do not work on UNCP's network. Wireless printers can be used with a USB printer cable connected and the wireless capability turned off.
