Welcome to the University of North Carolina at
Pembroke! As the President of the Student Government Association (SGA), I am so excited that you have chosen our beautiful campus as your place of education and I hope that you are equally excited to be a Brave!
We hope that you will become involved on campus this year, whether you are returning to campus or are just
beginning your journey. Getting involved is one of the keys to succeeding here at UNCP. You can do this by joining one of the 90+ student organizations, participating in intramural sports, becoming a member of the Greek community, or through a variety of other campus activities and events. No matter what you do, getting involved on campus is one of the most satisfying ways to reach your full potential and enjoy your time here at UNCP. Not only are you setting goals and standards for yourself, but you will be surrounded by other students who will share a similar vision for student success.
The Student Government Association shares that vision for student success. SGA is here to serve and represent the UNCP student population and exists to ensure that each student has a positive and worthwhile experience. If you have issues, questions, or concerns about anything on campus, please feel free to contact SGA. Our senators are here to represent you and you can be sure that your voice will be heard. It is okay to ask for help, and that is what SGA is for - to help! SGA meets every Wednesday during the academic year and our office is located in the University Center, Suite 225. We hope that you will get involved to help us to sustain a campus environment that cultivates personal, academic, and professional growth.
So remember - your experience here at UNCP is completely controlled by you and it is up to you to make the most of it. I invite you to get involved on campus and remember to always Be Brave!
