Set up BraveMail on a Windows Phone or Tablet

When you set up BraveMail on your Windows device, you’ll be able to access and synchronize your email and calendar.

  • Go to Settings > email & accounts > Add an Account
  • Select Outlook (Outlook.com, Exchange, Office 365).
  • Type your full email address, for example aaa000@bravemail.uncp.edu, and your BraveMail password, and then select sign in.
  • For user name, enter your full email address.
  • Domain is uncp.local
  • Select sign in
  • It will display, “We couldn’t find your settings”.  Select advanced.
  • Server is pod51034.outlook.com   
  • Select sign in
  • Select the email account you just created.  Under Content to sync, uncheck Contacts. Then select the check mark to save settings.
  • Go to the Home Screen.   Scroll down and select the email icon to access BraveMail. 
  • You may need to wait a few minutes after the account is set up before you can send or receive email.


Note: If you are unsuccessful, it may be a password issue. BraveWeb and BraveMail passwords are not always the same. Use the online instructions under “BraveMail on Mobile” to change your BraveMail password, or contact the DoIT Helpdesk at 910-521-6260 to get it reset so you can change it.
