The Office for Diversity and Inclusion and its' Social Justice Symposium Committee cordially invite you to UNC Pembroke's 7th Annual Social Justice Symposium titled, SPEAK ABOUT IT!: BREAKING THE SILENCE OF SEXUAL ASSAULT. This symposium will begin to address the affects and impact of sexual assault on our entire communities.
This informative and thought-provoking symposium will be held on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10TH AT 6:00PM on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke's UC Annex Assembly Room.
As a prelude to this year's symposium, the Offices of Diversity and Inclusion, CCE/Service Learning, CAPS, and Student Involvement and Leadership will be sponsoring the 1st Social Justice Advocacy Training for students and staff/faculty on Tuesday, September 9th in the University Center Annex Assembly Room. The student's training will take place from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. The staff/faculty's training will take place from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Keynote Speaker:.....Mrs. Elizabeth Kline/FOX50 and ME TV
Elizabeth Kline is an East Carolina University Graduate. She has worked with FOX50 & Capitol Broadcasting since April of 2009 in Sales and Marketing. Elizabeth was Sales Person of the Year in 2011 for FOX50. Elizabeth is a member of the Junior League of Raleigh. She is also a Goodmon Fellow and recent graduate of Leadership Triangle. Elizabeth is the Co-Chair of the Central NC eNOugh Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Campaign. She launched the campaign in June of 2013 as a statewide awareness program. The purpose of eNOugh is to link victims of domestic violence and sexual assault to service providers across the state through TV, Radio, & web marketing efforts. In addition to this, eNOugh is meant to connect, educate, inspire, and create a dialogue within our local government, corporations, nonprofits, and the general public. Elizabeth currently lives in Wake Forest, NC with her husband Dennis Kline and their dog Gracie Kline.
