PRESCHOOL ADD-ON LICENSURE
PRESCHOOL ADD-ON LICENSE
The Preschool Add-On License, adopted in 2000, is available only to teachers who hold a clear license in elementary education, special education, or family and consumer sciences. It prepares teachers to work with children from 3 to 5 years of age in inclusive settings, with and without disabilities, and their families.
PRESCHOOL ADD-ON PLAN AT UNCP
At UNC-Pembroke, the add-on programs are offered on campus, online, and in the evenings at Fayetteville Technical Community College. This program meets licensure requirements by the NC Department of Public Instruction and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
