Welcome to Birth-Kindergarten Education...

Birth-Kindergarten Education is one of the fastest growing programs at UNC-Pembroke. Recent research has led to an ever-growing awareness of the importance of the early years in human development. At the national and state levels, there is an increasing emphasis on the need for quality, inclusive programs to serve infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

Our program is designed to prepare educators to work with children with and without disabilities. The program is inclusive, interdiscplinary and leads to one of the newest teacher licensrue areas authorized in North Carolina.
