1. TECHNOLOGY
OPERATIONS AND CONCEPTS
Teachers demonstrate a sound understanding of technology operations and
concepts. Teachers:

A. |
Demonstrate
introductory knowledge, skills, and understanding of concepts
related to technology (as described in the ISTE National
Educational Technology Standards for Students). |

- Submit a lesson plan that integrates competencies from
the ISTE: NETS-S or the NCCSC for your students' grade level
and/or discipline area.
- Show where you have met basic technology competencies

Demonstrate
continual growth in technology knowledge and skills to stay
abreast of current and emerging technologies. |

Create a professional development plan for you to use as a
guide during your first two years of teaching. This should
include a rationale for why you need the workshops, courses,
journal subscriptions, etc. Also, locate and include
Internet addresses for online tutorials, online mentoring,
and local and/or statewide workshop opportunities.
