message from president

To my fellow students,

          As President of the Student Government Association (SGA), I personally welcome you to the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. I believe that college should be a remarkable and special experience for everyone and UNCP is the best place to start your college experience. UNCP prides itself as one of the most diverse and most personal universities in the country. UNCP offers small class sizes to help students learn easier and build a meaningful relationship with classmates and professors. UNCP also offers many opportunities for extra-curricular activities, with over 70 Greek and campus organizations, campus workshops, intramurals, and community service events, students will always be able to find activities to enrich their experience.

          The SGA is the students’ voice to the University administration and departments. Our mission is to safeguard and represent the students and the students’ welfare and concerns. The SGA office is located on the second floor of the James B. Chavis University Center building, at room 225. The SGA meets every Wednesday at 6 PM at room 213 of the University Center building. Feel free to drop by the SGA office or at the SGA meetings, and remember that we are always here for you, the students.
