Message from the Interim Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs

It is my pleasure to welcome you to The University of North Carolina at Pembroke!

The Division of Student Affairs is committed to providing you with quality programs, activities, and services that will enhance and enrich your academic experience. Programs and services are offered to assist you in developing intellectually, socially, culturally, physically, and emotionally.

While it is important that your first priority be your academic studies, we encourage you to get involved in some of our many activities which include student government, clubs and organizations, student publications, theater, intramural sports, community service – just to name a few. Our diverse co-curricular activities and programs provide personal and leadership development opportunities for every student.

Join us in building school spirit by supporting the UNCP Braves in the many intercollegiate athletic events on campus throughout the year. Also, take advantage of the Jones Athletic Center which houses basketball courts, an aquatic center, racquetball courts and a well-equipped fitness center. Other recreational facilities include tennis courts, a game room, a bowling center and a lighted track.

The Division of Student Affairs includes Housing and Residence Life, Student Health Services, Student Involvement and Leadership, Counseling and Testing, the Career Center, the Chavis University Center, the Givens Performing Arts Center, Multicultural and Minority Affairs, Greek Life, Community and Civic Engagement, Intramurals and and Campus Recreation, Student Conduct and Campus Safety and Emergency Operations. Our qualified and caring staff members stand ready to assist you with any questions and concerns.
