notice to teacher education candidates
Teacher Education Committee policy limits student progression
in teacher education until formal admission to the program has been
granted. If you are majoring in Art Education, Biology Education, Birth-Kindergarten
Education, Elementary Education, English Education, Math Education,
Middle Grades Education, Music Education, Physical Education, Science
Education, Social Studies Education, or Special Education and you have
not been formally admitted to the Teacher Education Program, you should
contact your program coordinator. A list of program coordinators is available at http://www.uncp.edu/soe/fac_staff.htm. Two semesters prior to the internship, each
candidate must complete the professional semester enrollment packet.
On Wednesday, February 27, 2008 in the School of Education in room
222 a morning session beginning at 10:00 a.m. has been scheduled for enrolling for the professional
semester. This session will be repeated on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. in Education Center Room 301. All students planning to student teach in the spring 2009 semester
must attend one of these meetings.
SPECIAL NOTICE REGARDING TEACHER EDUCATION FIELD EXPERIENCES
Students taking the following courses: ART 3080, ECE 3020, 3200, 3210, 3400, 3600, 3900, 4000,4200, 4050, 4210, 4250, 4550, 4630, 4650, 4720, EED 3840, 3890, 3840, MAT 2500, MUS 4000, 4050, 4200, SCE 3000, SED 3220, 4720, 4820, SSE 3000 will receive a field experience assignment from the instructor.
Students taking the following courses: ECE 4000,EDN 3020, 3060, 3070, 3100, 3120, 3500, 4080, 4090, 4100, 4190, SED 3000must register for early field experience in Education Center Room 102 in the Office of University–School Programs for these courses and complete an Early Field Experience Registration Form at the time of pre-registration and regular registration.© The University of North Carolina at Pembroke
