Advanced Science Academy
UNC Pembroke’s Regional Center is offering a year-round Advance Science Academy (ASA) for 30 high school students (9th - 12th grade) interested in careers in the field of science. This program is sponsored through a grant from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund and provides monthly (9:00 am-4:00 pm), hands-on workshops to help broaden the understanding of science and its content and will improve student’s experience in scientific techniques. Participants will gain experience in experimenting, analyzing investigations, formulating models, forming hypotheses and making scientific inquiry.
