Sanderson and Jimenez to Exhibit at University of Sharjah in United Arab Emirates
Daniela Jimenez and Mentor Brandon Sanderson will present PURC-sponsored research in the Switching Costs exhibition at the at University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates in the summer of 2013. Jimenez' work, entitled Bruto Ser, was created during the "Color and Achromatic Stone Lithography after Daumier and Kollwitz" Undergraduate Scholar Assistantship in 2012. Sanderson and Jimenez are two of sixteen participants in this curated invitational project. Each artwork in Switching Costs addresses the benefits and detriments of exchanging analog work and thought processes for digital equivalents. The exhibition will be accompanied by a publication and catalog. Jimenez' work was also exhibited at the University of South Dakota and the University of North Texas in 2012.
