UNCP running back Brandon McLaurin was named co-offensive player of the week on Oct. 2 by the Independents Collegiate Athletic Association after his 137-yard performance in a 26-20 victory at Chowan on Sept. 29.
McLaurin shared the honor with Humboldt State running back Marcus Cox.

His 38-yard kickoff return early in the third quarter at Chowan, set up excellent field position for the Braves as they later scored their third touchdown of the contest en route to victory.
McLaurin was also named student-athlete of the week by UNCP’s uncpbraves.com sports information website.
