UNCP’s No. 1 team of Stacey Wood and Ivana Music’ lost their match 5-8 to the Jaguars Nathalia Rodgers and Laura Ferreria. The Braves’ No. 2 doubles team of Natalie Dies and Gabriela Vrana lost 4-8 against Norma Rovira and Fernanada Chiaparini after going up a service break early in the match. Singles In singles play, UNCP struggled all-around with Gabriela Vrana playing the closest match against Laura Ferreria losing 3-6, 2-6. Stacey Wood lost her No.1 singles match 1-6, 2-6 to Nathalia Rodrigues while Natalie Dies lost her No. 2 singles match 2-6, 2-6 to Fernanada Chiaparini. Mental Mistakes Langley pointed to numerous mental mistakes by the Braves that led to their loss. The Braves lost in a sweep for the second time this season. She said the Braves should be competitive with what she viewed as bottom-half teams in the PBC. |
