Wristband sales will benefit Make-A-Wish

By Melina Savage
Staff Writer

The Student Athletic Advisory Committee will be selling Braves wristbands for $2 each.

Wristbands will be available starting Oct. 31. The wristbands will be black or gold with the Braves logo.

Proceeds from the wristbands will go towards the Make a Wish Foundation.

Wristbands can be purchased from Student Athletic Advisory Committee Coordinator Robin Langley, located in the P.E. Building.

President of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee Lindsay Bartholf said, "I anticipate SAAC this year to be an organization that will bridge university athletics to the community, restore UNCP spirit at athletic events and create opportunities for the entire university body to donate toward worthy causes while at the same time thoroughly enjoying it."

Student Athletic Advisory Committee will have a link on the UNCP athletic website that will show the latest events.

The bracelets are similar to the yellow “Livestrong” bands popularized by Lance Armstrong.
