Softball preseason begins

Last weekend the Lady Braves softball team traveled to their first tournament of the fall at Wingate University in Monroe, defeating Lees-McCray and St. Andrew’s University.

With a roster of 18, with nine new players, eight of which are freshman, the team is young but very talented.

Coach Steve Johnson is very enthusiastic about their season.

“We are going to have to work hard but we are looking good, I am really excited about the season coming,” said Cyndi Carnaghi.

The overall feeling from the team seemed to be positive. They are all looking forward to a winning season in the spring.
