Students leaders make a difference

There are certain qualities that a leader should possess.
A leader should be able to make a difference and able to convince others that there are differences worth making.
A leader should be able to sympathize with the issues their community is concerned about and at the very least look into the issues to understand them further.
Leaders should be intelligent and well spoken, allowing them to make a positive impression on the community they are leading and to have a better working environment for those around them.
In the campus community, students look to their student leaders for answers. They count on them to lead in the right direction.
Leaders should be able to answer the questions their community asks or at the very least know where to find the answers that are being sought.
The SGA has demonstrated leadership by encouraging students to be involved in area voting.
Leadership has been demonstrated by the Greeks raising money for worthy causes.
Many other campus organizations also demonstrate leadership by being involved in fundraising and volunteering.
UNCP is a campus full of strong student leaders, even if many of the leaders don’t regularly receive the recognition they deserve. For that, UNCP is lucky.
