Underage drinking leads crime

From Sept. 9 to Sept. 19, 26 people were charged with underage consumption of alcohol.
All people involved got campus level charges. Some of them also got arrested on state level charges, according the Department of Police and Public Safety crime report.
Two people were also charged with intoxicated and disruptive behavior.
Even if you are of legal drinking age, you should still have control of yourself. If not, you can be charged on the campus level or state level according to the campus crime report.
Charges will go on your school record. You will have to meet with the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.
A total of 17 tickets were given out in the parking lots by the Sampson building and Dial, according to Officer Phillip Locklear.
Assault
On Sept. 15 there was an assault in front of Oak Hall. The student was charged on the campus level for assault. He received a campus level charge.
On Sept. 16 two people were charged in West Hall with controlled substance violation which was marijuana. They both received a campus level charge.
Four students were charged with endangering behavior on Sept. 16 in Pine Hall. All of them received campus level charges.
There was an altercation in the Pine Hall Lobby. A student pulled a knife on another student.
By the time campus police arrived they had already stopped but by witnesses accounts they were able to charge them on campus level.
