Hit and run causes $200 in damages

A hit and run incident occurred in the gravel lot behind Pine Hall on Jan. 31.
The student had parked their vehicle on Jan. 27 and did not return to it until Jan. 31, when they discovered approximately $200 worth of damage had occurred, according to a police report.
The accident took place outside of the scope of security cameras in the lot.
Another hit and run incident is pending investigation after a student’s vehicle was hit by an SUV while attempting to exit onto Prospect Road on Jan. 24.
She was unable to identify the make and model of the SUV, but told police that it was occupied by two males. The accident was not caught on camera.
An arrest was made in connection with an accident that took place on Jan.15 in parking lot 17, in front of Dial and Lumbee Hall.
Two accidents occurred on Jan. 17, one in parking lot 2 between Third Street and the railroad tracks, and the other in lot 14 behind the Jones Athletic Center.
An arrest and campus charges were filed for both underage consumption of alcohol and resisting, delaying and obstructing an officer on Jan. 25, after a student was reported to have attempted to run from the officer.
A credit card fraud incident occurred at the cash points ATM on campus on Jan. 28.
A book larceny occurred in the Business Administration building on Jan. 23.
On Jan. 19 a verbal altercation took place in Pine Hall.
A fire alarm was activated in Belk Hall on Jan. 16.
Eight students received campus charges for underage consumption: six on Jan. 22 and two on Jan. 19.
One student received campus charges for a controlled substance violation on Jan. 18. On Jan.16, a student in University Village Apartments was charged on the campus level for the offense.
Five individuals received campus charges for visitation violations, between Jan. 17 through 31 for North and West halls.
