New apartments open in fall

Pembroke Place, a new apartment complex developed by Place Properties of Atlanta, Ga., will open fall 2007. The groundbreaking took place Sept. 19.

The future Pembroke Place will have seven buildings, each with 12 units for a total of 84 units.
They will have capacity to house 336 residents. Each unit will consist of four bedrooms, four bathrooms and living areas.
Pembroke Place will also be equipped with town hall amenities like a computer lab, a fitness center, a pool and a game and recreational room.
Stephen Freeman, senior development manager of Place Properties said, “Rent will be competitive” with the other apartments located near campus.
The office will open in spring 2007 so students can sign pre-lease agreements for fall 2007.
Pembroke Place is off campus, across the street from Dial and GPAC.
