IPOD stolen from West Hall room By Amanda HickeyNews Editor A student in West Hall left his room unlocked for a few minutes on Jan. 22. When he returned, his IPOD was gone. Students who were in the hallway said that a white male with a slim build had entered the room, according to Detective Ed Locklear of Campus Police. Locklear advises students to keep their rooms locked at all times.Campus Police can be reached at (910) 521-6235. Assault charge A student who works part time for the print shop was making a delivery to the science building when he said he was assaulted by another student on Jan. 12. That student was charged with simple assault on the campus and state level, according to Detective Ed Locklear of Campus Police. Stolen metal detector A handheld black and yellow metal detector was stolen from Campus Police at the end of fall semester. The Garrett brand detector was taken from the Auxiliary gym during a fight at the end of the fall semester. If the detector is returned before Campus Police receives information from other sources about its whereabouts, the guilty party will walk free, according to Chief David L. Helton. |
