Mass Communications professor interviewed on CNN

Stan Grant, host of CNN International’s morning show “News Biz Today,” interviewed Dr. Anthony Curtis of the Mass Communications Department on Monday, Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m.

In anticipation of China’s launch of an astronaut into space on Oct. 15, Grant conducted a two-minute interview with Dr. Curtis, who has a strong background in astronomy. An audio link connected Dr. Curtis with Grant, and during the conversation a map of North Carolina was placed on the television screen, identifying the location of UNCP.

The Hong Kong base of CNN International can be seen throughout the Asian continent.

Also on Oct. 13, Dr. Curtis was interviewed by the “Santa Barbara News-Press” newspaper in regards to Vandenberg Air Force Base’s final launch of the Titan 2 rocket on Oct. 15.
