Candace Foster assists children in a golf ball throwing game outside of the U.C. (PhotoParent’s Weekend was held Oct. 1-2 featuring performances by legendary country music artist Ronnie Milsap and the bizarre magician, Brian Brushwood.

Brushwood has appeared on many TV shows including the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Steve Harvey’s Big Time and many more.

Richard and Peggy Hill, parents of Freshman Don Hill, came to UNCP and checked out Brushwood’s freak show.

“I could not believe the magician stuck a needle into his eye like that!” Mrs. Hill said. “It was so crazy!”

“I don’t know how he did it but it gave me goose bumps,” Mr. Hill said. “I’ve never seen something like that before.” Sounds like quality entertainment to me.

In addition to the performances by Milsap and Brushwood there was a carnival, a performance by the music department, a drawing for free books and free room and board raffle for the spring 2005 semester.
